Found a beautiful poem by Sara Teasdale. This one reflects what I meant in my last blog. :)
I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love, put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.

Beauty in such words to describe what is on the mind.... Sigh.

How Do I Love Thee.....
How Do I Love Thee
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
*****************************************************************
Waiting for the time in my life when I am overcome with such passion for my love in my life....... My Leopold does exist, you know... just playing hide and seek.... :)

28th bday approaching....
Hmmm, one thing I missed out in my previous post is that I had one long time wish fulfilled just on the day before the eve of 2010.
I donated blood to a lady whom I had never met and was to undergo a hysterectomy. She was a relative of a colleague of a friend of mine. He was going to donate blood and told me the same. I went along since that would be my best chance to do something with someone familiar around. I always wanted to donate blood and was quite skeptical about the thing - my typical initial hesitant nature for anything though I would be dying to try the thing. The doctor who checked my blood level was so eager to get me to donate blood because she found me healthy. It felt funny and good. She realized it was my first time and made me feel comfortable. She almost repeated twice - "Your blood level is very good." Quite in the tone of a compliment. :) Touch wood!
And now this saturday my 28th bday approaches. Am wondering how it is gonna be. There are the usual positive vibes, hope and looking-forward-to-things. Waiting... :)

2010 - 4 days old!
2010 - People address it as "twenty-ten". I like the sound of it - has a nice ring to it. It is 4 days old and here I am blogging after a long long while.
Just got back to work after a week long xmas hols. Some companies call it "forced holiday". And some call it shutdown hols like ours. I like the latter anytime. :) Vacation went quite useful and pinched the pocket too.
Bought a microwave to kindle the cooking bug in me. Culinary attempts: Shahi tukda, pasta in tomato sauce, veg biryani and brownies. Of all these, veg biryani (Special dish on New Year by me) came out well, thanks to mom's tips and microwave. :) Sis and mom gorged it and did give me a lot of credit. That is when I realized what it feels like to feed people and make them happy and feel good and proud in return. Overall, cooking is quite interesting and tricky at the same time. He he. Told this to Jitu and goodness, he was rotflol for sure if I am right. I agree with him on the 'aagasa' quote. Lets see how long I oghithini. So far so good since its been fun.
Bought gold but I am still seeing stars. I consider it a good investment any day though some parts of our society still requires to be satisfied with its show.
Bought a double-cot for my parents from Lifestyle. A nice Tuscan wood queen size cot with great finish for a reasonable price. My parents, who are in dire need of it coz of old age and comfort, were postponing this purchase since God knows when. And I decided to take up the responsibility and grow up for them. Woohoo! I exclaim coz I realized that setting up a family is no joke and requires a lot of thought, care, time and finance.
Watched "3 idiots" twice and loved it more the second time. A nice touching movie with its own share of mischief and one-liners and most of all, the theme. Watched Avatar in 3D - Quite enjoyable but painfully long. Liked Paa more since it was very endearing. Loved the Bacchans and Ms. Balan. Made me relax during the most hectic work week I've known in the current work place. :)
Apart from this, I've been busy contemplating that I need to settle down at the earliest and am in search of my soulmate. :) Sounds so convincingly desperate but its not that bad. I just feel it would be the right time. And poor parents of mine too. :)
Hoping twenty-ten works out well for me and helps me grow up in every sphere of life. Praying for more patience, sensibility and positive strength. I also pray that the world around becomes a safer and happier place to live in. For me, 2009 was definitely quite good but it went really really really fast. Hmmmm.... :)

"Definitely, maybe"
This interesting phrase is the title of one of my favorite movies. This movie tops the charts currently in my fav. list.
Watched the movie twice, and I still rmbr that the first time was just coz of its title. I guess it has been coming on HBO many times and it would keep coming as long as HBO thinks it best to take it off their list. And I reckon I shall watch it again and again. The count aint gonna matter. Its the movie that matters here. It always gives goose bumps in me and I wonder why. Maybe I love it coz it reflects what I think and mirrors a lot of things which can be left unsaid. The movie has its happy ending. :)
I love April and Maya in the movie. Even the whole election and Bill Clinton thing. Also, Summer being so selfish and ruining our hero Will's career unknowingly. Summer's smooth reinstatment of friendship with Will. April and Will walking away and getting back with ease at different points in their lives, no matter how long, reflecting perfect friendship. Will not disclosing his affair with Summer to April. Maya feeling bad for her parents' divorce but at the same time realising that its the best too. Calling her dad a slut - hilarious. "What's the boy word for slut?" :D It all just seems so natural and perfect. The hero, William, well, he is good but just good. Not the best I'd say. :) Being so particular coz maybe I can't stand his looks. The story anyways beats his looks and makes me go so into it. After all, life is sometimes little different than just being easy or straight-forward for all of us.
The story happens in NY and my heart starts yearning to go back to NY - just to visit it all over again with a lot of time in hand. :) I'd really wanna enjoy such an opportunity again with perfect company, just like how it was the last time. The company could get a wee bit more interesting, no harm in that. :) I loved the line "Definitely, maybe" and my favorite scenes are the last scene and the scene where Will changes his mind and walks away when he originally intended to give April her dad's gift which she has been searching for years - Jane Eyre. I just so knew why he walked away with it. And he actually realises that only in the end. Hmmm.... Am such a romantic fool! I enjoy being one, no doubt. :D And I also know my feet is grounded too.
"I kept it with me coz it was the last of you that was left with me." Sigh.

Test of patience happening!
Why do people test our patience? Or why do they think they can take such liberties? And why do some ppl interfere?
A b****, being a person to whom I gotta contact to get somethings done, has been acting pricey with me. Havent met her till date in person though we should have met soon. First instance - she seemed reluctant and clearly says she does not know anything. Second instance - she gave me some odd timing and acted as if she is parting with something that she does not want to disclose. Third instance - In the last minute, she stood up on me. And I hate the hanging-in mid-air feeling. To top it, she gets recommended as point of contact. Phew! World spins for sure. I call her a b**** coz I am losing it. Sorry, I don't get profane until I am pushed to the limits. I hope she changes for good and gets positively responsive and reasonably reliable. Difficult people can be interesting to make you see some side of you that you never knew - that's management strategy to turn things optimistic and challenging. I agree but still I roll my eyes and say, "Blah!" :D
Need to calm the nerves of an insecure narrow-minded crazy specimen coz it turns out to be getting more and more curious unnecessarily.
I sure hope I have the right skills to handle such interesting cases. I pray for more of it - I did not mean the specimens, mind it! ;) Prayer is for the former. :)

Teeny bopper......
I am amazed at the teeny bopper. How easy to indulge her and how easy to rue her? Good that the heart is not yet made of stone, but somewhere it definitely would hurt the girl. So its wise that she decide and convey the decision as soon as she can and move on. Just coz of one instance, telling not to rush yet. But that one incident is enough to kill the bopper completely inside out. It has been killing for one week already and been suggesting possible options to not overdo it.
And yet, after trying all options and not finding the right instinct except for exhaustion, I'd advice the bopper to move on. :) After all, life goes on and there are new starts always.
